This painting is one of many where exploration and experimentation is constant, when one tries to achieve similarity to a certain art style or a specific look, in this case a cubist approach. I consider this a practice painting where the grey figure’s form and the depth of the overlapping shapes in the background were never intentional or sketched out; they were just appearing as I painted on top of existing textured old painting.
