They are usually the work of postmodern artists - but not always. These forms of art can either be permanent or temporary. As for their purpose, they tend to be used as an alternative to more traditional artwork. Mixed media is an artwork in which more than one medium or material has been employed.
Altar to Picasso Altar to Picasso was an ephemeral art installation created and designed by Alberto Cruz with the help of an assistant artist, collaborator. The piece was influenced by the altar making tradition during the Day of the Dead Celebrations in Mexico. In this particular time, the altar was created for Pablo Picasso. Staying true to his recognizable style the installation brought to life his vision in an actual 3D environment also featuring projections of his work. An Altar to Maria Sabina was created a year after Picasso's but there is no documentation of it :( ®All rights reserved by Alberto Cruz Inc. 2020 Collage, Mixed Media Collection I enjoy creating collage pieces because it involves the incorporation of other graphic art tools like scissors, used to create papercut art, exacto knives used to do detail cutting, just like drawing or painting. The inclusion of unlimited items and materials makes this art-form a fun and creative way to keep your imagination playful and experimental.
