If I’m not mistaking this was the first large scale painting I created, utilizing wood from a skid to make the frame, a beige cotton blanket from my mom’s closet, and a mix of oil and latex commercial paints. Very much influenced by The Three Musicians by Picasso, this painting depicts in a cubist style a group of musicians dressed in typical “Jarocho” attire playing and singing “Sons” in the coast of Alvarado, Ver.
